Klock Werks Flare For 2014-2023 FLH (5 Black)
The Flip at the top of the Flare redirects air back as clean, less turbulent air for the rider and passenger, rather than just blocking or pushing the air. The Flare Windshield features "hips" at the sides that re-route the wind away from the rider while adding downforce to the front-end of the motorcycle to improve stability compared to riding with the stock windshield.
The Black Flare comes in sizes 4", 5", and 6.5" for a wide range of height selection, while the Clear Flare comes in sizes 10.5" and 11.5" for taller riders. The Dark Smoke Flare is available in sizes 4", 5", 6.5", 8.5", 10.5", and 11.5", and the Tint Flare comes in sizes 6.5", 8.5", 10.5", and 11.5" for a wide range of height selection.
Klock Werks has developed a variety of heights for many models so riders can find a fit that works for them. The company recommends choosing a Flare size that the rider can look over comfortably. The "Black" color versions are opaque and may not be suitable for shorter riders.
Windshield bags will work with the Flare. Traditional three-pouch windshield bags are compatible with the 6.5", 8.5", 10.5", and 11.5" Flare windshields. The Flare features "hips" at the outer edge of the shield that re-route the air to add downforce to the front of the bike, and the "flip" at the top is designed to kick the air up and back as "clean", less turbulent air for the rider and passenger.
The Flare is made from a hard-coated polycarbonate material for added durability. Harley Davidson sells a three-pouch windshield bag designed for vents that will work with the 6.5" Mid, 8.5" Tall, 10.5" Tall, and 11.5" Tall Flare Windshields.
